  1. I agree with above content. The best practice approach claims that certain bundles of HR activities exist which universally support companies in reaching a competitive advantage regardless of the organizational setting or industry (Redman and Wilkinson 2009). Best practice models state a close connection between HR practices and organizational performance and are often associated with high commitment management (Paauwe & Boselie 2003).

  3. Best practices are transferable across organizations and units and, thus, require little trial and error and distractions at the unit level (Samnani and Singh 2013). However, best practices are not without drawbacks, a major disadvantage of a best practice HRM system is that it may result in standardized HR practices that are sub optimal at the unit level (Becker and Huselid 2010;Samnani and Singh 2013).

Agreed, This approach claims that certain bundles of HR activities exist which universally support companies.Have to make internal comparisons before establish ‘best’ practice. and need to review the outcome of analysis. Above video nicely explains how google evaluate their works through random reviews. However these type of procedures not supported with every organization. The approach depends on the type of organization.

  6. Hi Anne, HR best practice states that companies should invest heavily in training time and budget for their employees. Today Employers increasingly invest in skills-specific forms of training. In addition to formal learning, on-the-job learning also plays an important role and learning is also becoming increasingly important for the latest generations. As you mentioned according to Pfeiffer (1994) training for employees is considered one of the best practices approaches.
